Sometimes players do not realize the importance of a good dealer to the game.

A poor poker dealer will often deal very slowly. This is bad for the winning poker player.  Less means the winning player has  fewer hands per hour to increase winnings.

A slow dealer often does not run the game efficiently either.   This will cause many breaks in the action, especially when many players are not paying attention meaning even fewer hands per hour.

There are even some dealers that can not quickly identify the winning hand at a showdown.

It sometimes takes players to point out the winning hand.

A slow poker dealer will also take too much time counting down pots. A dealer that cannot count the pot fast enough will slow the game down figuring out simple things like the rake and jackpot drop.

An inexperienced dealer may also take extra time figuring out who is involved in side pots as well as how much they should be.

This type of dealer will often lack in confidence and it will show. This can create problems with players at the table that tend to be disruptive.

Misdeals and exposed cards are also common in games like that. All of these errors lower the enjoyment of playing live poker. There are instances where the dealer could either make an error or not know procedure and have to call the floor supervisor over to help with a decision.

All of these things can slow a game down to the point where it is not enjoyable or profitable.

All dealers need to be aware of the importance their job and strive to improve.

6 Critical Online Poker Tips For Beginners

By Nick Moseley

Playing poker online can be intimidating and confusing when you start out and hit the tables against experienced competition. In order to level the playing field, this article will point out 6 of the most important advice and strategies new poker players should use.

Take advantage of the loose players to make money — They call too much; they over bet their hands, they can’t read your hand, they don’t know when they’re drawing dead, they don’t respect your raises, they frequently call when they should raise, they often don’t bet their hand when they should; and they don’t understand when to raise.

Try to remember who the loose and tight players are and some of the more obvious tells. Figuring out your opponents is the most important skill you can develop in poker.

Mix up your game — When playing with more experienced players, you need shouldn’t play 2 hands the same way twice in a row. Good players are disciplined enough to respond properly to your actions.
Don’t show your cards — Showing your hole cards is very poor play. You don’t want your opponent to have that information for free as it shows them how much you would bet with pockets, high cards, or absolutely nothing.
Don’t play every hand — Hard I know but playing a lot of hands is a mistake that most poker players (not only beginners) make.

Just because you play more doesn’t mean you win more indeed “less is more” in a useful phrase to keep rolling over in your mind. The big pots are what counts and what gets you more money!

Learn when to fold — Pocket aces and pocket kings are the strongest starting hands you can get, and you should almost always raise and/or re-raise when you have aces or kings. You also want to play premium hands preflop, if you don’t hit or you have no draw after the flop you need to FOLD. A lot of mistakes players make are not folding big hands like AK and AK and will call all the way till the river and end up losing a lot of money.

Avoid Tilting — Anytime you get a lot of bad beats you need to deal out and don’t come back until you are over it completely or it will cost you big. There is nothing worse than losing with back to back aces and then losing your whole stack.

Overall take it easy and be steady and consistent. Watch, learn, read books and take poker training courses and then practice like crazy on free online poker sites such as my site before moving up in stakes and risk.
